Do I need to be a member?
No. Guests are always welcome, free of charge. Whether you are just starting out or have a real "green thumb," there is always a topic of interest for you.
When and where?
Usually the 3rd Wednesday of the month at Wesley United Church, 244 First Avenue, Welland. Parking is right by the door, and the meeting room is accessible by elevator.
What happens at a meeting?
Doors open at 6:30 pm, so come early for goodies, refreshments, and a chat. The meeting starts at 7 pm with our guest speaker, followed by a break to socialize, then Society business and upcoming events. There are door prizes too. Meetings run about two hours.
Ready to join?
Membership is only $10 a year and includes discounts at some local garden centres and reduced prices for our hands-on workshops.
About the Society
The Welland Horticultural Society strives to encourage and stimulate interest in the many areas of gardening. Our guest speakers provide informative lessons and demonstrations and share current practices across a wide range of horticultural topics.
Over the course of our history, we have taken part in many beautification projects in our community. Our annual Plant Sale also supports our scholarship at Niagara College. Read more about us.
